In an era of growing interest in locally-sourced food and home gardening, The Good Life Garden presents three fascinating speakers to discuss the power - and joy - of personal food production. The event will be punctuated by an exciting tasting of regionally sourced, artisanal products. This is a dazzling occasion for anyone passionate about food, gardening and sustainable living. The Student Farm & Children's Garden Program
Each year, thousands of elementary school children visit the farm to learn about garden ecology and growing food. The Student Farm, part of the UC Davis Agricultural Sustainability Institute, is the site of formal courses and field research projects focused on sustainable agriculture.

UC Davis Arboretum
With more than 22,000 trees and plants, this diverse public garden acts as an outdoor classroom and laboratory, supporting research and teaching.

PES Salad Bowl Garden
This student-run organic garden demonstrates how landscape can be a productive space and at the same time bring people closer to their food.
Located in front of the Plants and Environmental Sciences Building.

Co-op Gardens and Project Compost
The Co-ops are an ecologically conscious and culturally diverse student community dedicated to low impact and sustainable living. The gardens are used to grow organic food for residents and also demonstrate composting techniques by the student run organization Project Compost.

UC Davis East Quad Farmers Market
The East Quad Farmers Market (EQFM) at UC Davis has increased access to fresh local produce for busy UC Davis students, staff, and faculty during fall and spring quarters.

UC Davis Slow Food on Campus
Slow Food is a global grassroots movement that links the pleasure of food with a commitment to community and the environment. UC Davis will be creating a chapter specific to campus, focusing on the next generation.

The UC Davis Students for Sustainable Agriculture work to engage the campus and larger community in a socially just and ecologically balanced approach to agriculture.

Experimental College Garden
The Experimental College Community Garden offers plot rentals to the general public for a small annual fee. Land, water, tools, mulch, manure, and gardening advice are included with your rental.
